It has been a year since I joined the Pixomondo UK team to work as a compositor on Martin Scorcese’s Hugo and what a ride it was! From getting a bunch of senior compositors stuck in an elevator, moving offices and a mexican themed party to actually doing some really tough stereoscopic compositing work. I have to say that the best part of this project was sharing an office with the likes of Alex Henning, Darren Christie, Franz Brandstaetter, Abigail Scollay and Mark Pinheiro! The long hours spent working along side our supervisor, Alex Henning, really paid off and as a compositor, it was a great learning experience.
